Drone Comb Frame

Large cells encourages bees to build drone comb. As part of your Integrated Pest Management  program for mites, insert a drone frame into each hive. After the bees have capped the cells, place the frame in a plastic bag and put it in your freezer overnight, Drone frames can be rotated out with new ones or remove the frame from the freezer and let it warm to room temperature. Drag your uncapping fork across the cells, braking them open, and place the frame back in the hive for the bees to clean. Repeat the cycle as the bees refill and cap the cells.
